EchoVault implements the Yield Donating Vault architecture inspired by Octant v2. When users deposit assets, the vault records them as ERC-4626 shares while strategies deploy capital to DeFi protocols. Over time, strategies generate yield, and when a keeper calls the report function, the strategy claims rewards and returns the total assets under management to the vault.
The vault recognizes the difference between previous and current total assets as profit, which it tokenizes as vault shares and transfers to EchoRouter for Quadratic Funding matching. This mechanism creates a perpetual value stream for contributors and builders as long as users maintain deposits and the underlying protocols generate yield.
This is a simple code change with a different financial purpose - transforming standard yield vaults into dedicated donation infrastructure while preserving all security properties and reliability of the original ERC-4626 system.
